Worth knowing
Scandinavia Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Scandinavia Yachts is on record with seven boats: the sailing yachts Scandinavia 27, 30 and 35, the 650 as Cruiser and as Race sailing boat, plus the motor yachts 950 and 1050. Lengths run from 6.5 to 10.6 metres, build years from 2007 up to current production.
The compact 650 is trailerable: liability cover is the base here, and hull cover includes transport behind your own vehicle. For the larger sailing yachts and the 950 and 1050 motor yachts, value and cruising area belong clearly in the policy.
NAMMERT insures Scandinavia boats regardless of build year and place of purchase, whether sail or motor version. You can calculate the premium for your Scandinavia Yachts insurance in the online calculator in about 5 minutes.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
