Feadship; cover, cost and conditions
Feadship is the association of Dutch shipyards that has been building superyachts as pure one-off constructions since the fifties, every yacht unique, with build times of several years. The sums insured run into the hundreds of millions and are thus far beyond what a calculator can represent.
In this segment it is not the premium that decides but the wording of the conditions: cruising range, crew liability, charter operation, art and interior on board, deductible structure and the question of which risk carrier holds which share. Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
Waters
Inland, coastal and abroad; plan fairways, bridge clearances, draught and tides.
Equipment
Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.
Cruising range
