Three motor yacht ranges are recorded for AB Orrskär Batar: the Orrskär 27 from 1974 to 1983, the Orrskär 1000 from 1975 to 1982 and the Scandia 280 from 1970 to 1978. Production therefore goes back a long way. That has no effect on access to cover, because we provide insurance regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
Anyone taking over one of these yachts today buys it used, often with several previous owners. What matters then is which value is stated in the policy. In the full hull cover we agree an agreed value and pay compensation in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), so that you do not have to argue about value after a loss.
The third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, selectable in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. The policy is taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, and above that we review the individual case. An existing boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.

Frequent questions
Does a year of construction from the seventies matter for the hull cover?
In the Premium tariff the full hull cover applies without any age limit. Compensation is based on the agreed value, and there is no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). Collision, grounding and vandalism are included as well.
How does switching an existing policy to NAMMERT work?
