Aqua-Sports; cover, cost and conditions
Four ranges are documented, the Aqua Sailer-III as a sailing yacht and the Aquastar 750, 850 and 950 as a motor boat and motor yachts. All of them date from the years 1967 to 1975; production lies in the past. Sail and engine side by side mean two different routes to the premium for us.
Boats of this age spend the winter months ashore. Cover from NAMMERT also applies in winter storage, during craning, launching and in transit. Limited hull cover covers damage in winter storage, plus fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat.
If you switch to us from an existing contract, we cancel the previous contract free of charge. You provide the data of your Aquastar and we take care of the rest. Cover follows on seamlessly, and the hull cover knows no time window and no night clause here.

Frequent questions
Can a boat from the nineteen-seventies still be covered by hull insurance?
Yes. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners do not restrict the cover. In the Premium tariff indemnity with no deduction for depreciation applies with no age limit, on the basis of the agreed value.
Does cover also apply during craning in autumn?
Yes. Winter storage, craning, launching and transit are included. Damage in winter storage is moreover already contained in limited hull cover.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
