I race my Surprise in a one design class. What does that mean for the policy?
Racing is agreed expressly. Damage to rig and sails arising from racing is then covered, as far as it results from an event. Without that agreement hull cover does not respond there.
Are sails covered?
Yes, if they are included in the sum insured. A racing wardrobe can represent a considerable value, so it should be named explicitly rather than estimated in a lump.
