On sailing yachts the sail area takes the place of engine power when the premium is calculated. For the Ass brand we have two model ranges on record, the Ass 30 and the Ass 38, both built between 1984 and 1992. No further details on the yard or the product programme are available, and they are not needed for the contract either.
Production is finished and in the past, so that today only used units change hands. For such yachts we agree an agreed value; in the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit and indemnifies with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
The framework is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards; races with ranking status you declare when taking out the policy. The switching service cancels an existing previous contract free of charge.

What determines the premium for an Ass 38?
The type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range. On sailing yachts the sail area replaces engine power as a factor. The brand itself has no effect on the premium.
Are club races covered as well?
From the Basis-Plus tariff upwards, club races are included. Please declare races with ranking status when taking out the policy so that the cover fits from the outset.
