Worth knowing
Bell Woodworking Ltd.; cover, cost and conditions
For Bell Woodworking Ltd. three ranges are recorded: Flyer and Miracle Dinghy with years of construction from 1987 to 1993 as well as the open catamaran Hydra from 1975 to 1982. Details about size classes or the rest of the programme are not available. That is enough for the contract, because what is covered is always the individual boat.
For the premium the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range count, never the brand. The value agreed we set down as an agreed value, and full hull cover pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and small series and home-built boats can be insured as well.
The cover does not end at the jetty: it applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the way in transport, and a boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is a year of construction from the 1980s an obstacle?
No. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. In full hull cover the agreed value applies with no deduction for depreciation, so the ranges from 1987 to 1993 are covered in the normal way as well.
How is the Hydra covered on the way to the water?
The way in transport is part of the cover, as are launching, craning and winter storage. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium and needs no contract of its own.

Series by Bell Woodworking Ltd., build years and cover
Flyer is a sailing boat from Bell Woodworking Ltd., built from 1987 to 1993.
Miracle Dinghy is a sailing boat from Bell Woodworking Ltd., built from 1987 to 1993.
Hydra is an open catamaran from Bell Woodworking Ltd., built from 1975 to 1982.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
Open catamarans are beached and trailed, so most damage happens ashore and in transit, not on the water.
