Four model ranges from the years 1976 to 1993 are on file, the motor yachts Blue Sea 36 and 11,10 as well as the sailing yachts 46 and 14. A mixed programme of this kind means for the insurance: on the motor yachts the engine power counts, on the sailing yachts the sail area.
The sum insured covers more than the bare hull. Include permanently installed electronics and the equipment carried on board in the schedule so that the agreed value reflects the actual value. Compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
We insure boats from the seventies and eighties regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Cover is taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, above that we assess the individual case. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis in every case.

How is the equipment carried on board taken into account?
Include permanently installed electronics and equipment in the value schedule. The agreed value is set on this basis, so that in the event of a claim compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Is there a night clause in the hull cover?
No. The hull cover has no time window and no night clause. Damage in darkness is treated in exactly the same way as damage during the day, under way just as in winter storage.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration

For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
