Dalpol builds the Phobos sailing boats from 5.3 to 9.2 m, from the Phobos 18 via the 21, 22, 24 and 25 to the Phobos 29, plus the Phoenix 800 motor yacht. Build years run from 1993 to the present.
The compact Phobos models can be trailered, so liability as the basis and covered trailer transport in the hull policy belong together. For older build years from 1993 a fixed agreed value keeps the agreed sum stable.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
