Two ranges are recorded for Elliott: the Elliott 6m sailing boat with years of construction from 2007 to 2014 and the Elliott 770 sailing yacht from 1996 to 2006. Two separate production periods, both concluded. Both can be insured, because with us the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners exclude nothing.
Whether a boat is used on inland waters or on the coast goes into the premium. The cruising range is set when the contract is concluded, together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and sail area. Anyone crossing the border receives the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards. State races with scoring status when concluding the contract so that they are expressly covered.

What part does the cruising range play?
It is one of the factors for the premium, alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and sail area or engine power. Inland and coastal waters are recorded differently when the contract is concluded.
Are race outings covered?
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff upwards. Races with scoring status you register when concluding the contract, then they are expressly stated in the cover.

Elliott 770 is a sailing yacht from Elliott, built from 1996 to 2006.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
