It is not the engine power but the sail area that feeds into the premium with a sailing yacht. The LA 850, LA 28, LA 33 and LA 35 ranges have been built since 2012 and are still in production today. For the application, the type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range are therefore enough; the brand has no influence.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus. Races with scoring status are stated when cover is taken out, so that this use is properly set down in the contract. With a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, third-party liability forms the basis on which limited hull cover or full hull cover build.
Because production continues to the present day, both new and used boats come into consideration. We insure irrespective of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, and we cancel a previous contract free of charge through the switching service. Full hull cover pays on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Why is the sail area asked for?

Are races with an LA 33 included?
Club races are covered from Basis-Plus. Races with scoring status are notified when cover is taken out, and then this part of operating the boat is covered as well.

Registration

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
