One sailing boat here carries the name CQ-6, built since 2006 and to this day. On a sailing boat the sail area takes the place of engine power when the premium is calculated. Added to this are the type of boat, value, year of build and cruising range; the brand is left out.
Anyone sailing regattas in a club is included from the Basis-Plus level upwards. Races with scoring status you declare when taking out the policy so that they are expressly stated in the contract. Third-party liability covers 10 to 50 million euros depending on the level and forms the basis of the contract.
Full hull cover works with an agreed value and settles claims with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. It covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the transport route.
