LM 27: cover, cost and conditions
How much does the name LM 27 matter to the premium? Hardly at all. What counts is the type of boat, the year, the value, the engine output and the cruising area, the five fields of the online calculator.
What should you budget for the LM 27? It starts from €39 a year for a sailing boat, from €49 for a motorboat. For a LM 27 at the usual market value of €15,000 the premium is €438 a year: liability and hull in Basis-Plus, North Sea, Baltic and Mediterranean, about 35 m² of sail, hull excess €250, paid annually. Hull cover accounts for €349, liability for €89. Tariff as of 03.11.2026, your own boat may differ. Hull cover follows the value of the boat. Partial: fire, storm, lightning, theft of the whole boat, winter storage. Full, on top: collision, grounding, vandalism, theft of parts. A total loss means the agreed value, in the Premium tariff without new-for-old deductions.
The LM 27 may be second hand, imported or ordered new, and the berth may be at home or abroad: we write it in each of these cases. The international certificate of insurance comes by itself in ten languages, and cover taken out before the handover already includes transport and the first launch.
