LM 28: cover, cost and conditions
Five figures decide what cover for the LM 28 costs: type of boat, year, value, engine output and cruising area. The model name itself does not change the premium.
For the LM 28 the premium starts from €39 a year for a sailing boat, from €49 for a motorboat. For a LM 28 at the usual market value of €20,000 the premium is €523 a year: liability and hull in Basis-Plus, North Sea, Baltic and Mediterranean, about 35 m² of sail, hull excess €250, paid annually. Hull cover accounts for €434, liability for €89. Tariff as of 03.11.2026, your own boat may differ; the hull share follows the value. Partial cover insures fire, storm, lightning, theft of the whole boat and winter storage damage, full cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. On a total loss the agreed value applies, in Premium with no deduction for new-for-old.
Berth in Germany or abroad, bought from a dealer, privately or imported: for the LM 28 it makes no difference to us. The international certificate of insurance comes automatically in ten languages. Start cover before the handover and transport and the first launch are included straight away.
