Three sailing yachts are recorded: the Mamba 29 with years of construction from 1977 to 2002, plus the Mamba 33 and the Mamba 36, both from the early eighties to 1993. Production is complete, and only older yachts from this programme are in the water.
With older yachts in particular, the agreed value counts. It is agreed when the policy is taken out and is replaced in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. The year of construction thus goes into the premium but does not reduce the compensation.
Alongside the type of boat, value and year of construction, the sail area and the cruising range act on the premium. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and you state races with scoring status when taking out the policy. In this way sporting use is also settled in the contract.

Frequent questions
Does the age of a yacht reduce the compensation?
No. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and replaces with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without an age limit. The year of construction acts on the premium alone.
Are club races covered with a Mamba 33?
From the Basis-Plus level upwards, club races are included. You report races with scoring status when taking out the policy so that they are taken into account in the contract.
