Multiplast; cover, cost and conditions
Three model ranges are listed, Pegasus 63, Pegasus 80 and Pegasus 115, built between 1994 and 2000. Where the sum insured is high, the purely online route ends: up to 2.5 million euros you take out cover directly, and above that we carry out an individual assessment.
That changes nothing about the cover itself. Third-party liability offers a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Theft of parts including the outboard is included.
The years of construction lie in the past, which is of no significance for acceptance. We insure regardless of the year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. For the premium, type of boat, value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range count, never the brand. Several changes of owner make no difference to this either.

Frequent questions
From what amount is taking out cover online no longer possible?
Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online. If the value is above that, we assess the case individually and agree the cover on a bespoke basis.
Does the scope change with an individual assessment?
The building blocks remain the same: third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, limited hull cover and full hull cover with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
