Worth knowing
Navalco; cover, cost and conditions
The Emeraude was built between 1965 and 1977 and is the only range recorded for Navalco. No further models are available. Anyone acquiring such a yacht today buys second or third hand, and our contract is designed for exactly that.
Before buying, a look at the replacement value is worthwhile. This amount is set as an agreed value when taking out the policy and is paid out in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation. In the Premium tariff this applies with no age limit, regardless of how many previous owners the vessel has had.
If a dispute arises after buying a used boat, the legal expenses cover for water sports that we offer alongside applies. It also covers disputes with a yard. For the voyage itself, third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.

Series by Navalco, build years and cover
Emeraude is a sailing yacht from Navalco, built from 1965 to 1977.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
