The Ohlson 8:8 is the only range recorded, built from 1968 to 1988. About the shipyard itself there are no further details, neither on its size nor on its orientation. What is insured is therefore the specific boat and not the brand, and that regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.
Every contract begins with third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros. It applies to damage suffered by third parties, for example during a harbour manoeuvre or on another yacht. Only then do limited hull cover and full hull cover build on it, covering damage to your own boat.
For a sailing yacht with a year of construction from that period, an agreed value is set in full hull cover and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff the age limit does not apply. The premium is based on the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the sail area and the cruising range, never on the brand.

What does third-party liability pay for?
For damage caused to third parties by the boat. Depending on the tariff level the limit of indemnity lies between 10 and 50 million euros. It does not cover damage to your own boat; limited hull cover and full hull cover are intended for that.
Is third-party liability alone enough?
