With a sailing yacht from the construction years 1971 to 1978 the valuation stands at the centre of the contract. For the Colitalia 56 MS we agree an agreed value that is paid out in the event of a claim with no deduction for depreciation. In the Premium tariff this rule applies with no age limit.
One single model range with around seven years of production is documented, and the manufacture dates back a long way. For acceptance that is no obstacle: we insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Small series and self-builds are insurable as well.
The premium is determined by the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the sail area and the cruising range. Limited hull cover carries fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage; full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.

How do you determine the value of a yacht from 1975?
By means of an agreed value settled when the policy is taken out. It is replaced with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. A deduction on account of age is thus ruled out.
Do you also accept yachts with several previous owners?
Yes. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. For a dispute after the purchase, legal expenses cover for water sports can additionally be taken out.
