Worth knowing
Pinica; cover, cost and conditions
The sailing yacht Pinica 1434 is the only range recorded for Pinica and was built between 1982 and 1989. No further details of the programme are available. For the premium this is of no significance, because for sailing yachts the sail area counts and not the engine power, together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range.
On this basis the agreed value is agreed under the full hull cover. Compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation, in the Premium tariff without an age limit.
Anyone taking part in club races with a yacht of these build years is covered from Basis-Plus onwards; races with scoring status are to be declared when taking out the policy. The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, and NAMMERT insures regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Why does the sail area play a role?
For sailing yachts it replaces the engine power as the calculation variable in the premium. Together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range, this gives the rating of your yacht.
Does the hull insurance also apply at night?
Yes. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning, during launching and while in transport.

Series by Pinica, build years and cover
Pinica 1434 is a sailing yacht from Pinica, built from 1982 to 1989.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
