Abroad, some harbours require proof of insurance cover. You receive the international certificate of insurance from us automatically in ten languages. Under Ram Yachts one range is recorded, the Ram 37, which has been built since 2003 and still is today.
More than two decades of continuous production mean that units with very different years of construction are out on the water. For each of them we agree an agreed value and pay with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"), in the Premium tariff without an age limit for the year of construction.
Further information about the yard is not available. The premium is determined by type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never by the brand itself. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online, above that we assess each case individually.

In which languages is the certificate of insurance available?
In ten languages, and it is issued automatically. That allows you to prove your cover to foreign harbours and authorities as well.
Does the premium differ between an early and a recent year of construction?
The year of construction is one of the factors, as are value, type of boat, engine power and cruising range. The brand itself has no effect on the premium.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

Series by Ram Yachts, build years and cover
Ram 37 is a motor yacht from Ram Yachts, built since 2003.
As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
