Four motor yacht ranges are recorded, the Skarpnes 25, 25 WE, 30 and 35. The Skarpnes 30 was built from 1977 to 2001, the remaining ranges ended in the nineties. With yachts that have not been built for years, the agreed value is what matters.
The value is agreed when the policy is taken out and is not reduced afterwards in the event of a claim. Compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners, even after several changes of owner.
Full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Limited hull cover includes fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. Third-party liability runs alongside as the basis with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.

How is the value of a Skarpnes 30 determined?
A schedule is drawn up from the hull, the engine, the electronics and the equipment, and from that comes the agreed value. This value applies in the event of a claim, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
Is there an age limit for older motor yachts?
In the Premium tariff, full hull cover applies with no age limit. Boats from the eighties and nineties can therefore be fully insured as well.
