Three sailing boat ranges are on record, Kontender, Stowaway 20 and Stowaway 24, all from the years of construction 1998 to 2005. With sailing boats the sail area determines the premium, where with motor boats the engine power stands. Added to that are the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the cruising range.
The make does not enter into it. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels, and from Basis-Plus onwards club races are included. You state races with scoring status when you take out the policy.
Because production lies in the past, the valuation counts: full hull cover works with an agreed value, pays with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Cover is provided regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Small production runs and home-built boats can be insured.
