Sunseeker of Poole builds motor yachts with a sporting cut, from the Predator to the Ocean range. A large part of the fleet sails in the Mediterranean, and many yachts are individually fitted out.
With individual fitting out, the documentation decides how high the payment will be: the equipment list, refit records and invoices belong in the agreed value. Added to that are salvage costs that match the value, in Premium up to 2.5 million euros. Anyone who lets the yacht occasionally has private letting of up to 30 days in the insurance year included; a written rental agreement must be in place.

How is optional equipment taken into account?
Through the agreed value on the basis of the equipment list and invoices. Without records, the calculation follows the year of construction, which for individually fitted yachts is far too low.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.
