True World Marine; cover, cost and conditions
Inland waters or coast, the cruising range is one of the details from which the premium results. Four motor yacht model ranges are on record at True World Marine, the TWM 288 TE and the TWM 34 FT from 2007 to 2017 as well as the TWM 2810 TE and the TWM 289 TE, which are still being built today.
Besides the cruising range, the type of boat, value, year of construction and engine output count, but the brand never does. For trips across the border we issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages, so that the proof is available abroad as well.
Older and current model ranges stand side by side here. The same full hull cover applies to both, with an agreed value, with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and in the Premium tariff with no age limit, supplemented by collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.

Does the cruising range have to be stated in the contract?
Yes, it is one of the factors for the premium, alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and engine output. For trips abroad the certificate of insurance in ten languages is added.
Are there differences between current and discontinued model ranges?
Not for the cover. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the agreed value secures the value regardless of the year of construction.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).
Registration
Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
