Racing yachts built to designs by Carkeek Design measure 12 to 16 metres; recorded are the Carkeek 40 / 47 Racer and the Carkeek TP52, both listed since the early 2010s and still current today. At NAMMERT, club races are included from the Basis-Plus tariff level upwards.
The design office is based in Great Britain, and the designs race in the IRC and TP52 fleets. Races with scoring status are declared when you take out the policy. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be concluded online, above that NAMMERT reviews each case individually.
On a yacht of this length, third-party liability comes first, selectable with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. The full hull cover adds to it with an agreed value and covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.

Frequent questions
How are races outside the club programme treated?
Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards. Races with scoring status are declared when you take out the policy so that this use is documented in the contract.
Does the hull cover also include grounding in the racing area?
Yes. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard are part of the full hull cover, and compensation is paid on the basis of the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
