The Excellent 900 came off the line between 1971 and 1982 and today changes hands on the used market. Anyone taking over such a motor yacht should have the value recorded before taking out the policy: NAMMERT full hull cover works with an agreed value, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
With a production period of around eleven years and a single recorded model range, the premium does not depend on the name of the yard. It is calculated from the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. A year of construction from the nineteen-seventies does not rule out cover either, because we provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners.
Third-party liability forms the basis and is available with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. In addition, full hull cover covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. The policy is taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros.

How is the value of an Excellent 900 set in the policy?
The value is agreed as an agreed value and, in the event of a claim, replaced with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). In the Premium tariff this rule applies with no age limit, including for years of construction from the nineteen-seventies.
Does it matter that production ended in 1982?
No. We provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never on the brand.
