Anyone taking over an Adex Nautica motor yacht today is buying used: the four model ranges A 25, A 29, 25 Hardtop and 29 Hardtop were created between 2003 and 2017, after which production ended. For the insurance what counts is therefore the replacement value, which we write into the contract as an agreed value.
The Hardtop models ran from 2003 to 2014, and the A range followed from 2009 onwards. We do not exclude older hulls, because we insure regardless of year of build, place of purchase and previous owners. In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies without any age limit, and indemnity is paid with no deduction for depreciation, new for old.
With these motor yachts the premium follows type of boat, value, year of build, engine output and cruising range, never the name of the yard. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, and limited hull cover and full hull cover build on it. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy can be taken out online.
