Worth knowing
Allpa; cover, cost and conditions
Inflatable boats without an engine and inflatable boats with an engine stand side by side at Allpa: the Sens range from 240 to 390 and the RGD models 250 and 320. Thirteen ranges are recorded in total. If an outboard is removed and stolen, full hull cover applies, which covers theft of parts including the outboard.
The Sens 330 has been in production since 2005 and continues to this day, while the RGD models were discontinued in 2020. We have no information on origin or method of construction, and for the cover that is of no consequence. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, even if a boat has already passed through several hands.
Small boats often move back and forth between water and road. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, and cover applies during craning, during launching, on the transport route and in winter storage.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is the outboard of an inflatable boat covered as well?
Full hull cover includes theft of parts including the outboard as well as collision, grounding and vandalism. If the entire boat is stolen, limited hull cover already applies.
Do I have to declare the trailer separately?
No. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no additional premium. You list it in the schedule so that it can be allocated in the event of a claim.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repairs are predictable. Still, set the value at replacement cost, including sails, rigging or gear you bought later.
Even without an engine the rule holds: a tear from impact or vandalism is covered, UV ageing is wear.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
