At Altamar Yacht production ended in 2022. The Fifty Two, the Sixty Two and the Sixty Six ran from 2010, the Fifty as early as 2004 and until 2015. All units on the market are therefore used motor yachts, for which an agreed value in the contract records the value in binding form.
With older boats in particular, what counts is what is actually paid in the event of a claim. Full hull cover from NAMMERT pays compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. For a Fifty from the first build years, collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard therefore remain covered.
We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, which regularly matters with a range traded for years such as the Sixty Six. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros sits underneath in every tariff level, supplemented by limited hull cover or full hull cover as you choose.

Does the year of construction of an Altamar matter for hull cover?
In the Premium tariff full hull cover applies with no age limit. Compensation is based on the agreed value and paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), even for a Fifty from the early build years.
How does a used motor yacht get into the contract?
Value, year of construction, engine output and cruising range are recorded, after which the agreed value is set. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the contract can be concluded online; above that we assess the individual case.
