A motor yacht of more recent build such as the Aluventure 40R, built from 2018 to 2022, loses value on paper over the years. This is exactly where the agreed value comes in: the amount agreed when the policy is taken out remains decisive, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
No further details about the yard itself are available; a single model range with a build period of five years is recorded. This makes no difference to the calculation, because the premium follows the type of boat, value, year of build, engine output and cruising range, and never the name on the hull.
Taking out the policy online is possible up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros; above that an individual assessment follows.
