Bani Shipyard builds sporty coastal motor yachts from eight to almost twelve metres, offered as open boats or with a cabin and hardtop. The names follow one pattern: Bani, a number with a point, then the version. The number follows size without being an exact length, since the Bani 7.50 measures 8.1 metres in our records. Open, SC, CAB, C and Prestige mark different superstructures and fit outs on a shared hull.

Our model records list eight Bani designs, all motor yachts, in four sizes: the 7.50 as Open and SC at 8.1 metres, the 9.00 as Open, SC and CAB at 9.6 metres, and the 11.00 C, 11.00 SC and 11.50 Prestige at 11.5 metres. The 9.00 Open starts in 2002, six more models follow in 2003 and the 11.50 Prestige in 2004. All eight run into the most recent build years, so the whole range spans only three lengths.

An open Bani is a day boat for swimming stops and fast runs along the coast, while the cabin versions take a couple away for a weekend. Most live on a marina berth in summer and on land in winter. Hardtop seals, canvas and upholstery suffer most from sun and salt and are worth a look every spring.
