Bellini Yachts belongs to Lake Iseo in Lombardy. Battista Bellini founded the yard on the lakeshore in 1960 and built small numbers of elegant wooden runabouts. Production stopped in 1973 when he fell ill, and the family turned to restoring and selling classic boats, vintage Riva runabouts in particular. The Astor 36 marks the return to new building. Brunello Acampora of Victory Design drew her lines, Norberto Ferretti sits on the board, and Romano Bellini runs the company with his children Martina and Battista. The name recalls an Astor model from the sixties. The hull is built in Fano, and the boat is fitted out in Cortefranca, a few kilometres from the lake. Her long, classic profile is a deliberate nod to the wooden boats of the early years.
