Camano trawlers come from the Canadian west coast. Naval architect Bob Warren started building them in 1989 at a yard in Delta, British Columbia. He borrowed the name from Kemano, a small settlement in the same province, and changed the spelling so it would be easier to say. In 1997 Warren sold the business to Brad and Jaslyn Miller. The hulls are solid hand-laid glassfibre, and the boats were meant for inland waters as well as coastal passages, running economically either at displacement speed or on the plane. The flybridge above the deckhouse is what marks out the Troll.
