Worth knowing
Delta Marine; cover, cost and conditions
Delta Marine stands for superyachts from Seattle with lengths of 50 to 70 metres, built in composite and aluminium, listed in our records from 2000 to the present day. At this scale the online route comes to an end: up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out cover directly, above that we assess each boat individually.
Even with an individual assessment the structure remains the same. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros is the basis, on which limited hull cover and full hull cover are built. In full hull cover an agreed value applies, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
Two construction methods, composite and aluminium, lead to different repair routes after a loss. Type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range count for the classification. Anyone travelling internationally receives the certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.

Series by Delta Marine, with value and cover
Delta 50 to 70 m is a motor yacht from Delta Marine (the USA), built since 2000,
and today changes hands at between €12,000,000 and €32,000,000.
As the Delta 50 to 70 m by Delta Marine series is still in production,
parts are available and repair costs are predictable.
Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
For the Delta 50 to 70 m by Delta Marine series:
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value.
Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
