Greenline Yachts; cover, cost and conditions
Greenline builds hybrid yachts between 10 and 20 metres in Slovenia, displacement hulls with a solar roof, electric drive for moving inside the harbour and a diesel engine for the passage. The construction is laid out for quiet, economical running and is the practical way to go in nature reserve waters where combustion engines are banned.
With hybrid yachts there are two drive systems and therefore two sources of loss. The diesel engine follows the familiar pattern; the electric side brings a battery bank, inverter, charging technology and solar panels. All of this counts with us as part of the insured propulsion and the fixed equipment, but only if its value is included in the sum insured. On a Greenline with a large battery bank that is a five-figure amount which would otherwise be missing.

For Greenline: Reflect both drive systems in the sum insured,
the diesel engine in the value of the boat, the battery bank,
