Worth knowing
Rivo; cover, cost and conditions
Three ranges carry the name Campi: the 340 as a motorboat and the 400 as a cabin catamaran, since 2016 and 2018 respectively and running to the present day, plus the 300 as a motor yacht, which was built until 2022. What is decisive for classification is which of these types of construction you have in front of you.
Boats of this class often move between water and land. The boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value, and craning, launching, transit and winter storage are covered as well. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium. Cover therefore continues in exactly those moments in which the boat is being moved.
A Campi 400 belongs to our portfolio. The premium follows from the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, so a cabin catamaran is classified according to its own data. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online; above that we assess each case individually.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Is a cabin catamaran classified differently from a monohull?
For Rivo: The type of boat is one of the premium factors, alongside value, year of construction,
engine power and cruising range.
The cover itself does not differ; third-party liability,
limited hull cover and full hull cover are available in the same way.
What happens if the boat is damaged during craning?
For Rivo: Cover applies during craning and launching just as it does in transit and in winter
storage.
Full hull cover compensates according to the agreed value,
with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

Series by Rivo, build years and cover
Campi 340 is a motorboat from Rivo, built since 2018.
Campi 400 is a cabin catamaran from Rivo, built since 2016.
Campi 300 is a motor yacht from Rivo, built from 2016 to 2022.
As the Campi 340 and Campi 400 by Rivo series are still in production,
parts are available and repair costs are predictable.
Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
For the Campi 300 by Rivo series the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely.
An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For the Campi 340 by Rivo series: On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part.
Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
For the Campi 400 by Rivo series:
On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part,
and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
For the Campi 300 by Rivo series:
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value.
Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
