Inland waters or coast: the cruising range is one of the factors that determine the premium, alongside the type of boat, value, year of construction and engine output. For a Woterfitz motor yacht such as the Voyager 860 you state your waters when taking out the policy; if they change later, report it so that the classification remains correct.
The Voyager 860 is already sailing in our own portfolio; the model range was built from 2001 to 2024. With the Voyager 900e, Woterfitz continues the programme to this day, and a cruising dinghy and the Voyager for 2 were also in the catalogue. Each of these boats is classified according to its own data, never according to the brand.
Wherever you sail: the international certificate of insurance in ten languages is automatically enclosed with the policy. Cover also applies in winter storage, during craning and launching and on the transport route; in full hull cover we pay compensation according to the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

I want to take the Voyager 860 from inland waters to the coast. What changes?
The cruising range is a premium factor; report the change so that the classification fits. The international certificate of insurance in ten languages is enclosed in any case.
Does the same apply to the Woterfitz cruising dinghy as to the motor yachts?
The framework is the same, and the classification follows the type of boat: for a sailing boat the sail area counts, for a motor yacht the engine output, together with value, year of construction and cruising range.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
