Two model ranges are recorded: the Granada 410 sailing yacht from 1994 to 2008 and the Seacamper 795 motor yacht from 1999 to 2007. Both production runs lie in the past, so a purchase today goes through the second hand market. For the full hull cover we agree an agreed value that corresponds to the replacement value.
After a second hand purchase what counts above all is that the list is correct: hull, rig or engines, plus the permanently installed equipment. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, so that even a boat with a long history obtains full hull cover.
Third-party liability forms the basis of every contract, with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Taking out cover online is possible up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, and above that we review the individual case and come back to you with a proposal.

Can a Granada 410 still be insured after several previous owners?
Yes. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. For the full hull cover we agree an agreed value, and compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
How does a Seacamper 795 get into the contract?
Through a list of the type of boat, the value, the year of construction and the engine power as well as the cruising range. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the contract is concluded online, and above that an individual review follows.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
