The Aerö 27 is the only documented range and was built between 1991 and 1997. Anyone taking over such a boat today buys it used, often after several previous owners. When buying used, what counts is the replacement value, not the purchase price of the past. In full hull cover an agreed value is therefore set, and in the event of a claim we pay with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). This means that even before the first cruise it is clear with what sum a sailing yacht of these years is entered in the books.
The basis remains third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. The premium is based on type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range, never on the brand. The policy is taken out online up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros; above that an individual assessment follows.
