Aeolos is a young yard in Dubai that trades as Aeolos Composites. It was set up by the German Hans Genthe, who built a business in Dubai around high-performance composite parts. The yard builds racing yachts in carbon fibre, drawn to race under the ORC rating rule. It made its name with the P30, a thirty-footer meant for small crews and two-handed sailing, launched at Port Rashid in Dubai in 2022 and weighing only about 1.6 tonnes. What marks them out is the carbon hull and a build that treats every kilogram as a cost.
