Airborn Inflatable Boats is based in Nevada. The company's original trade was building and repairing the inflatables that the FAA requires on commercial and private aircraft. In 2013 it brought its first boat to the Miami International Boat Show: the Bare Bones, a 12.5 foot inflatable flats boat for anglers. A year later, at ICAST in Las Vegas, came the Airborn 360 together with the FishDeck, a fishing paddle board that also forms the floor of the 360. The common thread is the drop stitch floor familiar from inflatable stand up paddle boards, stiff enough for one or two anglers to stand and cast. The trade press later reported that the owner was retiring and the company's assets were up for sale.

All three start with build year 2018 and run into the most recent build years. The lengths sit close together, with the 360 and the Bare Bones at 3.81 metres each and the 360 FishDeck at 3.2 metres. There is no motorboat or yacht in the range; everything is aimed at fishing in skinny water. The maker states that the Bare Bones packs down to the size of a large suitcase and floats in about five inches of water.
An inflatable built for the flats lives a hard life. Shells, oyster beds and sharp rocks are the main enemies of the fabric, so a quick check of the underside after each trip pays off. Rinse off salt and sand before packing it away and let it dry fully, since folding a wet boat invites mildew. Valves and seams deserve attention every season, and a drop stitch floor should hold its pressure overnight. When buying used, inflate the boat to working pressure, leave it for a day and see whether it stays firm. Look at the transom if a small outboard has been mounted, and ask whether the FishDeck board comes with the boat.
