Four sailing yacht ranges are on record for Alerion Yachts. The Alerion 20, 30 and 33 are recorded from 2018 to 2022, and the Alerion 28 is listed from 2018 to the present day. The same hull cover applies to current and to older years of construction, with an agreed value, collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard.
Third-party liability forms the basis of every policy. At NAMMERT its limit of indemnity ranges from 10 to 50 million euros depending on the tariff level, selectable in Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Damage to other boats, jetties or harbour installations is thereby borne even when your own yacht is only a few years old.
If an Alerion 20 or 28 is trailered, the boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium. Limited hull cover additionally bears fire, storm and lightning strike there.

Frequent questions
How is the yacht protected on the way to the water?
The cover applies on the transport route, during craning and launching and in winter storage. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium and needs no policy of its own.
What proof is valid abroad?
We issue the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages. With it you prove your cover in harbours and to authorities outside Germany without any further requirement.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
