A single model range is recorded, the Aloes 25, built since 2022 and still in the programme today. No information is available on further model ranges. For a sailing boat of this kind the premium is measured by the sail area instead of by engine power, together with type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range.
With a sailing boat the sail area replaces engine power as the calculation figure. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and the premium never follows the make. Taking out the policy online is possible up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros; above that we examine the individual case.
Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and you declare races with scoring status when you take out the policy. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays with no deduction for depreciation, which includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. A boat trailer is covered by the third-party liability at no extra premium from Basis-Plus, provided it is named in the application with its value. You can add it to the hull cover for a premium.
