Aloha Yachts was the brand of Ouyang Boat Works in Whitby, Ontario, on the north shore of Lake Ontario. Ti Ouyang, who had worked at Whitby Boat Works before, founded the company. The first boats carried the name Matilda, after which the yard built keelboats under the Aloha name, drawn among others by Ted Brewer and Robert Wallstrom, Robert Perry, Mark Ellis and Ron Holland. The range included the Aloha 27, 28, 30, 32 and 34 and the Aloha 8.5. During the slump in boatbuilding in the eighties the business ran into financial trouble and closed. The yachts are recognised by their fibreglass hulls with teak trim and a clear cruising brief.
