Antila Yachts builds sailing yachts in Radom, Poland. Cezary Duchnik founded the yard, which has been working since 2004 and is run as a family business. The boats are drawn by the designers Michał and Adam Orych and built in glassfibre with fractional rigs. The Antila 33 carries a swing keel that cuts the draught from about 1.8 metres to under half a metre, while the Antila 27 is listed with a wing keel. That shallow draught suits lakes and thin water, and Antila yachts turn up in charter fleets on the Masurian lakes around Giżycko.

A fractional rig with a large mainsail is easy for a couple to handle, but the standing rigging and any mast lowering gear deserve a close look. Freshwater use is kind to fittings and engines, which helps an older hull.
