Artekno; cover, cost and conditions

Older sailing yachts benefit from an agreed value: the value is set when the policy begins and, in the event of a claim, compensation is paid with no deduction for depreciation. At Artekno this applies above all to the sailing yachts of the years 1975 to 1993, among them the H-Boot, Artina 29 and Artina 33, which today change owners on the second-hand market.

The programme covers two groups: sailing yachts such as the H-Boot, Siesta and the Artina model range from the years 1975 to 1993, and motor boats such as the Artekno 405 and 470 from the years 2011 to 2017. In both cases the premium follows the same factors, namely type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area or engine output and cruising range.

An Artekno H-Boot is already insured in our own portfolio. If you sail club races with your boat, these are included from the Basis-Plus tariff onwards. Races with official scoring status should be declared when you take out the policy, so that cover applies there without any gaps.

Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.

a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,

and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
