Frequent questions
Are aged tubes a reason for refusal?
No, but they affect the value. An inflatable with porous material is worth less than a well kept one, and the sum insured should reflect that. Pure ageing and wear are not a claim, whereas a tear caused by an event is.
Is the outboard included?
Yes, provided it is part of the sum insured and named in the policy. On inflatables in particular the engine makes up a large share of the value, so its power and value belong explicitly in the details.
