Worth knowing

Beister; cover, cost and conditions

Kreuzeryacht 11 and Frisia are the two recorded sailing yacht ranges, built from 1967 to 1979. After the end of production, yachts like these change owner on the second-hand market. We continue to insure them there, regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners.

At the beginning of every policy stands third-party liability insurance with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, in the levels Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. It bears the damage your boat causes to others and remains the basis even when you additionally choose limited hull cover or full hull cover.

The full hull cover works with an agreed value and replaces with no deduction for depreciation, new for old, in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts are included. For a yacht with years of construction from the 1970s that is the decisive point.

What this means for the cover

For the Kreuzeryacht 11 and Frisia by Beister series there is no list price left.

That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it,

and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.

For the Kreuzeryacht 11, Frisia by Beister series:

On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts:

a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat,

and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
