Blue Water Yacht Builders worked in Taipei, Taiwan, and built heavy cruising yachts. The name is tied above all to the Vagabond series drawn by the American naval architect William Garden. The Vagabond 47 is a very heavy staysail ketch in glassfibre with a long keel and a skeg-hung rudder; Garden added the smaller Vagabond 42 and the larger Vagabond 52. On the brokerage market the 47 also turns up as the Vagabond Voyager 47 or Heritage Vagabond 47. Two masts, a long keel and a hull that sits deep in the water make these yachts easy to pick out in a marina. They were meant for owners planning long passages and life aboard.

The oldest entry is the Bluewater 52 Flybridge, a 15.85 metre motor yacht built from 1979 to 1986. The Vagabond 52 Ketsch has the same length and is listed from 1989 to 2000, while the Vagabond 42 and Vagabond 47 Ketsch both follow from 1993 to 2000 at 12.8 and 14.2 metres.
